He then decided not to serve but rather fight for the democracy of his own people by staying in the United States. He then started working odd jobs hoping to find a job in the airline industry. He finally decided to go back to school to continue his education by entering in community college and then graduating with two associate degrees. He then continued to a four year college and received his bachelors in engineering. Meanwhile, he ran a restaurant business with his wife in the city of Chicago. After his own experience with an automobile accident, he decided to enter Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport Iowa and graduate with a doctoral degree in 2001. Since then, he has worked in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Illinois as a chiropractic physician. Finally, he decided to move to Virginia. “Virginia has a lot of opportunity for me and good schools for my children and my family in general.”_ Dr. Berhane Shiferaw
