Dr. Jordan Duckworth

So, I was born at home in the town of Richardson, TX, right on the border of the suburb where the show 'King of the Hill' is based.  My mother works in the field of hotel management and my father is a world-class superintendent. I love them all very much and speak with them weekly if not daily. As as kid I participated in sports, Boy Scouts, Odyssey of the Mind, Texas Instrument's Mind Olympics, REACH, baseball and soccer; a nice healthy blend of science nerdliness and american values. I graduated from Richardson High School with Advanced Honors Magnet Sciences and NHS, and attended UT Austin/Arlington working on a degree in Electrical Engineering for 3 years. I did then as I do now, love the technological world in every regard. At that time I had gotten heavily into a dance/fight/game martial art known as Capoeira. I had hurt my shoulder pretty badly, but the following week I was again walking on my hands and acting as a referral machine for the chiropractor who helped me. This was the point at which I decided to matriculate to Parker College of Chiropractic to see about becoming what had helped me so greatly. I walked across the stage in April '06, and now reside in Reston, where I help others just as I was helped. I still play Capoeira. It's a major part of my life, and I wouldn't have it without the beautiful simplicity of chiropractic. The rest is a historical work in progress. I currently practice in the Alexandria and Falls Church locations. Thanks for sharing your journey with me!
